You Are So Special

Believe it or not, there is no one in the universe like you. From your personality to your appearance, your habits to your intelligence, your conduct to your mannerisms, you stand alone.
Even your fingerprints bear witness to your singular existence—distinguishing you from every human being who has ever lived or will ever live. You are not the product of a cosmic accident. Your DNA, intricately and intelligently designed, is proof beyond a shadow of a doubt: you are utterly, gloriously unique.
But the most profound truth of all? You were created in the very image of God. Genesis 1:27 declares this astonishing reality: God Himself crafted you to reflect His image, that you might share in His creation and know Him intimately. He longs for you to speak with Him, and He desires to speak with you.
In Psalm 8:4-5, we are left in awe: “What is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him? You have made him a little lower than the angels and crowned him with glory and honour.” This is how precious you are in God’s sight.
Before your first breath, God knew you. He knit you together in your mother’s womb with divine care. He has plans for you—plans to bless you, to give you hope and a future. Even before you existed, He loved you deeply.
As we begin to grasp the magnitude of God’s care for us, we come face-to-face with the darkness of our own sins. Yes, God loves us—but He despises the sin that separates us from Him. In this broken world, we often sin without even realising it.
Yet despite all this, His love for us remains constant—because He is love. God’s love is beyond anything we can comprehend. But how often do we turn our backs on it? How often do we reject His beautiful plans for us and choose our own way instead? We exchange His mercy, kindness, and goodness for paths that only lead to heartache.
And still, He pours His love over us, even as we fail to notice. To Him, you are of immeasurable worth. The psalmist David marvelled at this, saying, “How precious are your thoughts toward me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.”
God is no distant, emotionless taskmaster ruling from on high—He feels your pain, shares your sorrows, and longs for you to know Him. That’s why Jesus Christ came into the world. Through Christ, we can truly understand the heart of God. Though He was sinless, Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again three days later so that we could be reconciled to God.
This is the ultimate truth: God found a way to rescue us, to redeem us, to restore us to Himself. As 1 John 4:10 so powerfully states, “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
Because you are precious to God, He made a way for you to be forgiven, to receive a life of purpose—if you’re willing to trust in Jesus Christ and allow Him to heal and restore you.
The Bible tells us that we are God’s masterpiece, recreated in Christ Jesus. Could anyone be more cherished in the eyes of the Almighty than those who have given their lives over to Him?
Yes! You are of infinite value to God—not because of anything you have done, but because of what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross. The moment you begin to follow Christ, your past is wiped clean, and you are made new. His love brings healing, strength, blessing, courage, provision, protection, salvation, and more than we could ever dream or ask for.
As you read this leaflet, know that God is calling you closer to Him right now. If you want to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you must make a step of faith. Talk to God about your sin. Below is an example of what you could say. Alternatively use your own words.
“Lord God, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for my sins. You raised Him from the dead so that I could know Your forgiveness and have everlasting life. Right now, I humbly ask You, Lord Jesus, to forgive my sins and to be my Lord and Saviour. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and transform my life as I follow You according to the Bible. Thank you I am now Your special child, set apart for Your purposes. Thank You for loving me, saving me, and making me Your own for Your glory. Amen.”
Now that you’ve taken this important first step of faith, tell your family and friends. Also find a local Christian church where you can grow and deepen your relationship with God.
